InteliSys Aviation Systems was first born in 1987, in a Montreal basement, providing software for one single airline. Since then, InteliSys has come a very far way! In 2013, InteliSys restructured and its shareholders voted to partner with Anyware Group. From that point on, InteliSys has been rapidly growing as a leader in the airline IT space; signing airlines spanning across 6 continents, making exciting advancements in its amelia technology, growing an international sales team and dedicated marketing function, opening offices in Vietnam and India, and vastly expanding the size of the team in the Saint John and Moncton offices.
Venn was able to get a hold of Nikki Falavena, their Director of Marketing, for an interview:
What exactly does InteliSys do?
We focus on providing a world-class passenger experience to airline travelers around the globe. We do this by building and continually re-thinking solutions that help airlines become more competitive, thrill their passengers, and result in increased sales profits and growth. For example, our primary product ameliaRES, an airline reservation system, takes care of the entire passenger journey - from passenger travel search inquiries and ticket sales all the way through to loyalty programs, helping our clients have the best possible experience and even to their airline passengers at every touch point.
How many employees currently work at InteliSys?
InteliSys Aviation Systems employs over 65 professionals around the world. The team is concentrated in New Brunswick (Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John), but talent is global and so are we. We have InteliSys offices with engineers and product specialists in Kolkata, India and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, along with sales offices in the United States, Malaysia and Dubai.
Where are you located?
The short answer is that we are located where we can find the talent. Some of our teams work remotely or from home, while some from our satellite offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Kolkata. We also have our two primary New Brunswick offices in Moncton (on Mountain Road) and Saint John (on Prince William Street across from Java Moose).
The people who work at InteliSys - what do they brag about when they talk about the company?
Any role at InteliSys comes with a lot of freedom, flexibility and responsibility. Our leadership team believes in hiring the right person for the right role and places a lot of trust in team members to get the job done on time and with excellence. This means flexible business hours, autonomy and personal ownership of work and outcomes.
