Welcome to November at Venn
New connections, new ideas, and a few reasons to celebrate.
November is already shaping up to be a busy month at Venn Innovation, and we're starting with a milestone close to home.
Tonight, Founders' Café celebrates its first anniversary, marking a year of conversations and connections across Greater Moncton's entrepreneurial community.
We're also inviting New Brunswick's next generation of AI entrepreneurs to explore the Venn CreAItors Program, sharing stories from Tech Connect, and connecting with people and organizations helping strengthen our region's technology ecosystem.
From local founders to international visitors, here's what's happening at Venn and across our community this November.
Founders' Café Turns One Tonight! – November 4th
One year of conversations. One community worth celebrating.
Over the past year, Founders' Café has brought together entrepreneurs, innovators, small business owners and curious minds to share experiences, ask questions and build relationships.
Tonight, November 4, from 5:30–7:00 p.m., we're celebrating our first anniversary at Venn Innovation.
Instead of our usual founder spotlight, we're putting the attention on the people who've made Founders' Café what it is today, with an evening of networking, conversations and a special virtual reality gaming experience. Whether you've been attending since the beginning or have never joined us before, this is an opportunity to meet the people behind New Brunswick's entrepreneurial community.
There's still time to join us tonight, so register before it’s too late: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/2003678165330
Could Your Idea Become New Brunswick's Next AI Business? – Deadline December 6th
Applications are open for the Venn CreAItors Program.
Artificial intelligence is creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs, but having access to powerful technology doesn't automatically mean having a viable business.
That's where the Venn CreAItors Program comes in.
This 12-week program helps New Brunswick residents explore how to build AI-native businesses or transform existing ventures using artificial intelligence. Through practical workshops, mentorship and expert guidance, participants will develop their ideas, challenge assumptions and explore commercial opportunities.
Beginning in January 2027, the program culminates on March 20, 2027, at VIP Day, where qualifying participants can compete for $15,000 in cash prizes. Participants also have a pathway to continued support through Venn Garage. You don't need an established company to apply.
Applications close December 6, 2026.
November 12 — Tangerine Moments: Moncton
Sometimes one conversation is all it takes to open a new door.
We're partnering with Tangerine Business for Tangerine Moments: Moncton, an evening dedicated to entrepreneurship, meaningful connections and the people helping shape our region's business community.
Join fellow entrepreneurs, founders and business leaders at the Avenir Centre to exchange ideas and build relationships that can extend well beyond the evening.
Thursday, November 12 | 4:30–7:00 p.m. | Avenir Centre
November 18 — Protect Your Ideas: Intellectual Property
Seminar
You've built something valuable. Do you know how to protect it?
Join us at Venn Innovation on November 18 for a 90minute seminar with Caroline Lefebvre, Intellectual Property Advisor at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO).
Learn how trademarks, patents, copyright, trade secrets and industrial designs can help protect your creations and strengthen your business. Attendees can also request a one-on-one meeting with Caroline to discuss their specific intellectual property questions. Spaces are limited, and individual meetings are not guaranteed. Additional networking will follow the presentation.
Atlantic Technology Summit 2026 - Nov 18
AI is giving organizations the ability to move faster. The harder question is how to do that without sacrificing security, trust, good decision-making, or the ability to create lasting value.
That conversation will be front and centre when the Atlantic Technology Summit returns on November 18.
ATS 2026 will bring founders, executives, IT and security leaders, builders, and innovators together to explore practical AI adoption, cybersecurity and digital trust, cloud and cost management, talent development, and the realities of building and modernizing organizations in Atlantic Canada.
New this year is The Founders Floor, a dedicated space for entrepreneurs building the region’s next generation of technology companies to showcase what they’re working on and connect with customers, partners, mentors, investors, and fellow founders.
November 26 — InnovateNB Awards
New Brunswick’s innovation community will come together in Fredericton this November for the 2026 InnovateNB Awards.
A province full of innovators deserves a chance to celebrate them.
The 2026 InnovateNB Awards will bring New Brunswick's innovation community together in Fredericton to recognize the entrepreneurs, researchers, teams and organizations helping move the province forward.
From emerging startups to established innovators, the awards recognize contributions across technology, research, business growth and community impact.
We're looking forward to celebrating the people building what's next in New Brunswick.
December 9th — Equations of Empathy: Can Mathematics Help Us Have Better Conversations?
What if the key to navigating difficult conversations wasn't winning an argument, but understanding how someone else thinks?
Join us at Venn Innovation for Equations of Empathy, an interactive workshop led by Dr. Jon Sensinger, Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick. Combining insights from psychology with simple mathematical frameworks, the workshop explores practical ways to understand differing perspectives, reduce tension and communicate more effectively.
Through guided exercises and group discussions, participants will explore how these techniques can help navigate disagreements between co-founders, improve team communication and better understand customers.
December 15th – Save the Date for Tech the Halls
A year of innovation, collaboration and connections deserves a celebration!
Mark your calendars for December 15, as we bring back Tech The Halls, our annual holiday gathering for Greater Moncton's technology and entrepreneurial community.
It's an opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new people and celebrate the community that makes our region's innovation ecosystem special.
The details are still coming together, but the date is set!
Stay tuned for more information about this year's celebration.

See You Around Venn
November is a reminder that innovation doesn't happen in isolation.
Sometimes it starts with a conversation at Founders' Café. Sometimes it's an experienced professional finding a new opportunity, a student discovering an interest in technology, or an entrepreneur deciding to pursue an idea they've been thinking about for years.
Whatever brings you into New Brunswick's innovation community, there's a place for you in the conversation.
