The Spot for Tech in New Brunswick officially opens –
The Junction!

News Release
November 20, 2023 - Moncton, NB – It’s official – the Junction, home of Venn Innovation, is renovated, revamped and ready to welcome New Brunswick’s next wave of tech innovators and entrepreneurs!
Representatives from across many sectors converged and celebrated last week at the grand opening of the Junction at 770 St. George Street in Moncton. It is the largest facility of its kind in the province, providing workspace for tech-based businesses as well as startups that enroll in Venn Innovation’s “Garage” incubation program to help develop their new businesses. In addition to the incubation space, the Junction features turnkey office space, dedicated work stations and a hot desk area for entrepreneurs, meeting rooms, and a learning centre.
“The Junction will be a welcoming place where tech founders, tech talent, and the resources they need to succeed will converge,” says Venn CEO Doug Robertson. “The Junction is at the heart of the southeast New Brunswick innovation ecosystem but will also be an important asset for the increasingly collaborative Atlantic Canadian tech economy,” he added.
Among the tech companies on hand for the event was Moncton-based fintech WeyMedia, and their CEO and co-founder Maria Weyman spoke. “I remember 7 years ago, shortly after incorporating WeyMedia and moving back to Moncton, Venn was one of our regular stops. We came here to learn and to connect — and as a startup founder and entrepreneur, I can’t imagine Moncton without Venn Innovation,” said Weyman. “It is such a positive development to have this new space dedicated to creating a community for entrepreneurs to learn, connect, and grow.”
Among the many stakeholders and dignitaries attending the event was the Hon. Daniel Allain, M.L.A. for the riding of Moncton East. “Working with the Southeast Regional Service Commission (SERSC), Opportunities New Brunswick, the department of Post-Secondary Training and Labour, along with key partners at the municipal and federal levels and the many key stakeholders across the ecosystem, Venn is committed to creating a truly collaborative innovation and community,” said Allain.  “In support of the Junction project and the role it will play in supporting the growth of our innovative economy, I was proud to work with my colleague the Hon. Greg Turner to mobilize support from SERSC and the Regional Development Corporation for up to $225,000 to help make it a reality.”
The Junction is now officially open for business and welcoming clients. Details regarding use of the facility can be found at www.junctionnb.ca.
